You got a glimpse of this painting below on one of the pages of the book. It was a really busy painting... and I worked on it for a couple of days. As usual, I didn't like having to work on it a long time and felt like it got bogged down and heavy. But after some time away and looking at it with fresh eyes, I really liked the results. Working "bigger" is definitely out of my comfort zone. I am finding that I have a very small comfort zone. ;-)

Robin, I think this painting is perfect. I finally looked through your web-site. You have a gorgeous collection! And you're right ... your smaller pieces are [I don't know ] just held together better, if that makes sense. What a joy to look at you site!
This is a wonderful composition. I like how you simplified it. Painting large and painting small are like two different ball games. You seem to have adjusted just fine. This is lovely and so interesting to look at.

This is a wonderful painting! I love the stark diagonal line of the woman's purse strap against all of the squares and rectangles. It's a fetching composition and the subject is great fun! I stumbled upon you blogsite and really enjoyed the paintings. Are you in galleries in Austin? I'm heading there soon to visit my son!
