24x36 oil on linen
Here we have the final event version. I will be making final adjustments and refining the painting, but I wanted to share with you the result of my 5+ hours of painting of the reception for William and Kate. I also set up my video camera and taped at intervals, so when I come back from vacation (which I very much need now) I will play with editing that and posting it to my site. I very much enjoyed this and hope the family will love the final painting. Stay tuned for photos of it in a few weeks.

This is so cool. I can not wait to see it in it's final state!!!
Hi Robin,
I love this painting, what a wonderful idea you have to paint these live events for people. I just spent a lot of time in museums on our vacation and your painting 'live' events reminds me of some of the historical paintings artists did. Paintings like the Coronation of Josephine.
I wish I hadn't been out of town these last two weeks because the River Oaks Country Club is a few blocks from my house and I would have loved to meet you during your time in Houston! (And I would have crashed that wedding reception just to see you in action!) I have been following your blog for a while. Maybe next time . . .
Joan
