Austin's Bat Bridge

6x6 oil on panel
$100 + $12 s/h

This is inspired by my bat cruise last night on Lady Bird Lake downtown. Austin hosts the largest urban Mexican free-tail bat colony in North America during the summer months. This was the view looking up from our pontoon boat as the bats began their exodus from under Congress Ave. bridge.

I think I will celebrate Austin in my daily paintings. I will be your tour guide perhaps through central Texas! Stay tuned!

Stunning composition today. The tension you create here with the movement of the birds is spectacular!
best,

Robin,
this is great! I love the composition. I did a lithograph of these bats a while back, but I really love what you did with them in oils!

I can almost hear and feel the surge... I love the silhouettes.
