8x8 oil on panel
$225 + s/h
Another painted sketch for a large commission. One which didn't ever get painted unfortunately. Maybe someone out there in blogland would like to see one of these on a large scale? I'd love to paint a huge beach scene like this!
These were based on photos I took on Emerald Isle in NC. Its a lovely island community near Swansboro and Tidewater Gallery. It was very residential too which was quite special I thought. I hope to visit again.

Bucket-Fulls
9x12 pastel
I haven't worked in pastels since taking Margaret Dyer's workshop in March. I got a few ampersand boards (which I really like) and I got some more colors as I needed some more interesting dark colors. And since I've been working away diligently on my June show, I thought I'd take a break and play with pastels for a bit. This is a work in progress, but its coming along. My favorite part? His ears! :-)

Helen and Mary Kate

6x8 oil on panel
Two paintings for a friend. Years ago I had painted a small beach scene with my friend's daughter, then her only one! And for the last few years, her younger daughters have wanted to be immortalized too. My work has improved, is all I can say. And here are her two youngest (finally) just in time for Christmas. If she reads this blog, I am undone!

Beach Baby

6x6 oil on panel
$100 + $11 s/h - sold
This little baby was so fun to paint in a larger work that I decided to do him again small.
This week is turning out to be very hectic. Artwise, I need to paint larger works for galleries, and frame and ship. And then I am traveling in Oct. So my small works will be a little more sporadic. But I will post my larger works and give you all a preview of what will be in my new galleries. (Yes, there probably is another new one for me! shh - don't tell yet, I don't want to jinx it!)
