It continues to elude me.Dale Sherman Blodgethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05196292855147224681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34616923.post-14134040620376850392011-03-18T09:20:21.837-05:002011-03-18T09:20:21.837-05:00Thanks Diana -

(Flo Vazquez)
The surface is the scratchboard. In fact, I thought about trying a scratch technique but decided to paint. Its quite absorbent so I had to paint some passages several times to get the color to pop.A Painter's Journalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08520775774106380886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34616923.post-29737331110593576952011-03-17T21:28:47.824-05:002011-03-17T21:28:47.824-05:00TERRIFIC!!!!

Did this just come to you as an idea, or did you see this scene somewhere?

And that clayboard: is that the clayboard scratchboard stuff? I love it for scratch technique with a sharp tool, taking away the black and working backwards from the way one usually would with pen & ink.Diana Moses Botkinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06254521493118166524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34616923.post-26487476404938685052011-03-15T20:22:45.835-05:002011-03-15T20:22:45.835-05:00Great painting, Robin! now, can you do it from lif...Great painting, Robin! now, can you do it from life :)VickiRossArthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09258305858132024962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34616923.post-85147065083900537552011-03-15T18:21:25.784-05:002011-03-15T18:21:25.784-05:00Love the lost edges!
