Modern Couple

18x24 oil on linen - sold
I am in love with this piece. And it seemed to just fall out of me - always the nicest feeling when working. I think one thing that helped was the surface. I've been experimenting with different surfaces with my smaller paintings but find that my roll of linen is by far the niceset surface for my painting style. The trouble is, I have to mount or stretch the linen and that takes away painting time. I'm a lazy painter in that I want to just jump right into the painting, and not do much prep work. So, I've determined what I really need is an assistant to do all that for me. Anyone want to apprentice an artist?
